Sampling is the selection of a representative portion of the population to make inferences about the entire population.Sampling is a critical component of proper manufacturing processes.

How To use

Step1: Go to Goods Inbound

Step 2: Click on Sampling

Sampling is a process used for taking Raw Material (RM) sample for quality testing. System insist the operator should follow the sampling process based on instructions maintained in Material Master Data

Step 2 : Add Sample

  • Sampling can be added to the system before the actual Good Receive

  • Sampling can be done during the Goods Receiving Process.

Step 2.1 : Sampling before the actual Good Receive

This flow will be used when vendor send RM sample in advance and do Quality Test before actual stock received.

Click on Add Sample. Enter Vendor, Material & Batch to create & take Sample

Click on Search button, will display Sampling Instruction maintained against material in Material Master. Enter Remarks and click on “ADD”

Enter remarks and click on ADD to complete sampling process. Status of the Material will be changed to “SAMPLING COMPLETED”

Step 2.2 :Sampling can be done during the Goods Receiving Process.

Select the material with Sampling Pending status

  • PENDING - Material on which Sampling process in pending

  • SAMPLING COMPLETED - Material on which sampling Process is completed

  • QC APPROVED - The Material on Which Sampling and QC process is completed

  • QC REJECTED - The Material on which the QC process is disapproved.

Add Sampling Remarks

Once clicked on a Material with 'Pending 'Status ,the material details with sampling instruction maintained in Material master are displayed in 'Add Sample" tab .Enter remarks and click on ADD to complete sampling process. Status of the Material will be changed to “SAMPLING COMPLETED”

Vendor - Selection from vendor master, Material ID - Selection from material master,

Sampling Instructions - Populating from material master, Add Sample - New sampling remarks.

Once the Sampling process is done ,the status of the ordered Material changes to "SAMPLING COMPLETED"

Step 3 : Unique Sample No. generated

The Materials for which the Sampling and QC process is completed a Unique sample number will generated . Select Material with status as ' Sampling Completed 'or 'QC Approved' to view the Sample No displayed in Add Sample Tab.
