Central Masterdata management

Central Master data layer - offered as part of IndustryApps OS allows customers to manage Masterdata centrally and then simply deploy solutions from the market place with no risk of data lose or lock in contracts.

Central master data layer is a core component of IndustryApps Operating system. A Smart factory requires various technology and data management solutions - This range from various connectors to bring data from various ERP systems or Machine/IoT connectors to stream real time data from assets.

IndustryApps OS encapsulates all basic components needed to read, transform and store various data under its central master data layer. This layer also acts as the digital twin gateway that transforms all the assets loaded under a factory into Industry 4.0 standard digital twin model.

Masterdata includes two blocks of data

• Basic

  • This is a short set of informations which are required by the transactional system to execute general operations. Normally includes AssetId, Asset Name and general information.

More than 70% of Apps requires only 4-6 fields of master data to provide its functionalities. The issue is these fields could be unique based on assets and its purpose. IndustryApps OS provides a fully flexible master data concept which allows the customers to easily extend the master data layer specific to an asset.

• Extended

  • This is a flexible layer of data which can be extended based on a template. This gives the ability to add any additional fields or components into the asset at any point of time with no impact to existing solutions
